Learning to be Giant.

Yet a new site.

Finally, I decided to settle down on Github. The decision is made upon 3 major considerations:

  1. the domain name - github.io seems to be more eye-catching than .me
  2. my old webhost was blocked by GFW
  3. jekyll with markdown seems to be a pretty elegant way to write things

Right now, I am still getting used to this new thing, but it’s quite easy to pick up.

Most parts of this site is under construction, but I think they will be available soon. So, come back and check it out regularly. :)

You may have noticed that the past 3 posts are about jekyll. This is a blog-aware static webpages generator, pretty easy to use. I keep the 3 posts as sample posts.

I said for several times that I want to write some technical things on this(these) blogs, but it turns out that I really don’t have much to share on this blog, because when encountered problems, I could always find proper answers via google. Duplicating other’s solutions, for me, seems unnecessary. Sometimes I myself also would come up with some brilliant ideas, but procrastination always prevents me from writing them down (also because wordpress is way too complex). With this light-weight and simple tool, I do hope that I could form a habbit of writing technical articles, just like writing some daily trifles.

Ok, thanks for reading.
